The Enlightened Eye is a work in progress by BA(Hons) Contemporary Crafts Senior Lecturer Jason Cleverly. Developed in collaboration with Tim Shear, and commissioned by Liskeard and District Museum. The Enlightened Eye is part of Jason’s ongoing research into museum Interpretation; the project uses digital microscopy enabling museum visitors to explore minerals close-up, to make their own digital annotations and share their creations online.

Tim is also developing two additional Interactive touch panels, illustrating the significant historical, cultural and economic influences geology has played on the district. With the opening scheduled for March 2014, the projects are ongoing. These projects are funded by Caradon Hill Area Heritage project and Falmouth University.

Jason and Tim have previously collaborated on a project for the House of Words exhibition at Dr Johnson’s House Museum London.
